Being a University of Westminster student offers the chance to interact with peers from around the world and participate in a wide range of events, including social, sporting, and cultural activities that contribute to personal development.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster due to my keen interest in tourism and events. Located in the heart of London, Westminster is renowned for its exceptional tourism and event management course. The prospect of a "placement year" offered by the university was particularly attractive. This unique feature sets the UK apart from Korea, as Westminster provides opportunities for internships with local business partners after the second year. Understanding the importance of work experience in the tourism industry, I anticipate that the placement year will enhance my competitiveness in the job market.

Furthermore, the student registry offices have been immensely helpful in navigating all administrative aspects of my course.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

During my first year, I participated in a field trip that explored the history of Lincoln. It was a fascinating experience where I had the opportunity to delve into various aspects, including history, religion, tourism, and events related to the city’s cathedral. Engaging in group tasks allowed us to get to know each other better and foster deeper conversations. This trip also facilitated connections with individuals associated with Lincoln's tourism industry, providing insights into various industries and business functions.
